Competitive target archery events are divided into bow, gender and age classes.

Bow classes

  • Recurve Bow
  • Compound Bow
  • Standard Recurve Bow
  • Standard Compound Bow
  • Bare Bow Recurve
  • Bare Bow Compound
  • Longbow
  • Crossbow

Age Classes

Class Age
Note: An athlete may participate in the
  • Cub class if the event takes place up to and including the year of the athlete's 13th birthday.
  • Intermediate class if the event takes place up to and including the year of the athlete's 15th birthday.
  • Cadet class if the event takes place up to and including the year of the athlete's 17th birthday.
  • 20 and Under class if the event takes place up to and including the year of the athlete's 20th birthday.
  • Master class if the event takes place in the year of the athlete's 50th birthday or after.
  • Veteren class if the event takes place in the year of the athlete's 60th birthday or after.
